After the success of ‘The Family Man 3’, another intriguing series is making its OTT debut: ‘Perfect Family’. While both series revolve around families, this one uses comedy-drama to reveal much deeper issues beneath the surface. The trailer is out, and here’s everything you need to know about when, where, and how to watch the series.
About the Series
‘Perfect Family’ is a comedy-drama web series with 8 episodes, produced under the banner of JAR Pictures by Ajay Rai and Mohit Chhabra. Directed by Sachin Pathak, the series is created by Palak Bhambri.
The Storyline
The series follows a seemingly ordinary family that is, in reality, far from normal. The story begins at a family party with a nostalgic Bollywood theme, featuring music and dance. But beneath the celebrations, conflicts between father and son, husband and wife, and in-laws surface, affecting the family’s youngest member, who faints at school the next day.
On the advice of a doctor, the entire family attends therapy with Neha Dhupia, where the real drama unfolds. The family appears mismatched, each member facing unique personal challenges. The patriarch, played by Manoj Pahwa, refuses to acknowledge mental health issues, while the youngest member struggles as a highly sensitive person (HSP).
The series addresses serious themes such as self-harm, anger management, and society’s harmful expectations of being ‘perfect’, all delivered with dark humor.
Cast and Performances
Alongside Manoj Pahwa, the series features Gulshan Devaiah, Neha Dhupia, Seema Pahwa, and Girija Oak in pivotal roles. Actor-turned-producer Pankaj Tripathi, who has gained acclaim for roles in ‘Mirzapur’ and other OTT hits, makes his production debut with this series. He remarks, “Perfect Family is very close to my heart. Its unique storytelling and sensitive portrayal make it special. Sachin has handled this delicate subject with warmth and balance.”
OTT Release Details
‘Perfect Family’ will premiere on 27 November 2025 on JAR Series’ YouTube channel. The series follows a pay-per-view model: the first two episodes are free, and a one-time payment of ₹51 is required to watch the remaining episodes.
